SAIP #63: Vote For Saurabh and Shogun in the DDA Elections:

Summary

We, Saurabh and Shogun, are submitting our joint application for the role of New Protocols and Ideas within the Arbitrum DAO. With a strong background in governance, grants management, and ecosystem development, we bring complementary expertise in business development, data analytics, and operational efficiency.

Our proposal emphasizes leveraging our extensive experience in managing grants programs, building integrations, and fostering ecosystem growth to create a sustainable and innovative environment for Arbitrum projects.

Key highlights of our application include:

  • Proven track record managing grants programs (e.g., GMX, Questbook).
  • Experience with incentive mechanisms, integrations, and DAO operations.
  • Deep relationships within the Arbitrum ecosystem, working closely with builders and contributors.

Motivation

The domain of New Protocols and Ideas requires a robust framework for nurturing innovation, ensuring transparency, and delivering tangible results. We are motivated by the opportunity to streamline processes, elevate collaboration, and enhance participation across the ecosystem.

Our vision for this domain includes:

  1. Streamlined Innovation: Establishing frameworks to support groundbreaking protocols and reduce friction in funding and execution.
  2. Data-Driven Decision Making: Leveraging metrics and analytics to ensure grants and protocols align with the DAO’s strategic priorities.
  3. Collaborative Ecosystem: Facilitating synergies between builders, projects, and contributors within Arbitrum.
  4. Community Empowerment: Encouraging active participation through well-structured incentives and accessible grant processes.

With our combined expertise:

  • Saurabh has led the BD teams for Questbook and Gitcoin, managed the first Arbitrum DDA program, and overseen GMX’s Grants Programs (budget: $2.6M).
  • Shogun has worked with over 50 teams in data, tooling, and ecosystem development and contributed to GMX’s data and governance committees.

Together, we bring the operational knowledge and analytical rigor necessary to drive impactful results for the DAO.

Arbitrum Voting

Arbitrum Will go live from 16th of January to the 23rd of January, for this reason we believe a Speedlane AIP process is required.

If the proposal was to pass, Abracadabra would be voting for Saurabh and Shogun using the treasury ARBs in snapshot vote.
